Langsam Stevens Silver & Hollaender LLP is a boutique law firm that has developed a client-driven and cost-effective philosophy to provide exceptional advice and legal counsel with a focus on environmental matters, insurance coverage and defense, business law, family and estate law, real estate and land use throughout the United States.
Langsam Stevens Silver & Hollaender, a Philadelphia-based boutique law firm comprised of a tight-knit group of attorneys with strong devotion to the law, began through the collaboration of longtime friends and colleagues, Henry Langsam and Mark Stevens, whose roots date back to childhood in Philadelphia’s Mount Airy neighborhood. In 1995, Langsam expanded his mainly landlord-tenant and non-profit law practice into a general business practice, and Stevens, a lawyer and Professional Environmental Engineer, who had worked as a consultant, joined to create a firm to serve their clients.
They collaborated with other counsel in complex matters, eventually leading to new working relationships. In 2003, after several years as a partner in a large corporate firm concentrating in CERCLA and complex environmental litigation, Larry Silver joined in partnership and developed a highly sought-after environmental law practice representing prominent corporations, municipalities, and individuals for a broad array of environmental issues.
In 2012, Kim Hollaender joined in partnership, bringing a preeminent insurance coverage practice and a wide range of insurance defense matters. From casualty to construction, coverage to fraud, the firm’s insurance defense group covers a full panoply of insurance defense focus and is paneled by multiple carriers.
The firm’s environmental law and insurance coverage law practices are national in scope, with matters from east coast to west coast.
For nearly 20 years, Denise Kuestner served as an associate on Langsam’s general practice team. She has served as the Managing Partner of General Practice since 2018 and maintains a collaborative relationship with Langsam.
Today, Langsam Stevens Silver & Hollaender’s leadership is dedicated to providing highly skilled legal services among a select group of talented attorneys without the high-cost of a large corporate firm.
