Ruth A. Lesser is an Associate in the Environmental Group. She joined the firm in September 2018. She works with clients on environmental litigation, including CERCLA contribution actions and regulatory enforcement actions. Before joining Langsam Stevens Silver & Hollaender, Ms. Lesser served as a law clerk for the Hon. Kurt Kramer, J.S.C. of the New Jersey Superior Court in the Camden Vicinage.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Lesser had a successful career in the environmental engineering industry for nearly 30 years. Her extensive experience in the industry makes her knowledgeable in the application of Federal and state environmental regulations including CERCLA, SARA, RCRA, NEPA, PA Act 2 and NJ ISRA.
Ms. Lesser is a graduate of the Temple University Beasley School of Law, Evening Division School and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. While attending law school, she participated in the Delaware Riverkeeper Network clinical program, where she supported the staff attorneys on issues involving Commonwealth of PA drinking water MCLs, water quality standards, and expert testimony standards. Ms. Lesser was the Third Place Winner of the 2016-17 Louis Jackson National Memorial Student Writing Competition in Labor and Employment Law sponsored by IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law’s Institute for Law and the Workplace.
Ms. Lesser is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar. She is a member of the Delaware Valley Environmental Inn of Court and a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of the USA.
